A Community Learning Event

This intergenerational workshop is delivered in collaboration with industry partner Collaborative Aging and funded by Humber Polytechnic’s Office of Applied Research and Innovation. The event is part of BUS 3003 – Digital Systems and User-Centric Design. Students apply user-centered design principles to create meaningful and accessible learning experiences for older adults.

The Digital Business Management BComm students will design and facilitate a series of 20-minute interactive sessions focused on practical AI topics. Rather than formal presentations, each session is a relaxed, small-group conversation where participants can ask questions, explore real-world examples, and discuss how AI is changing the way we work, communicate, learn, and access information. Participants may explore topics such as:

• What is Artificial Intelligence?
• Everyday AI: Where You Already Use It
• Using AI to Ask Better Questions
• AI for Travel Planning
• AI and Finding Reliable Care in the Community 
• AI and Digital Safety
• Spotting AI-Generated Content
• AI and Privacy

Each student team focuses on one topic and rotates between tables, giving participants the opportunity to engage in multiple learning experiences throughout the event.
