Student Photographer Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Humber student photographer to join our creative team and photograph a vintage jewellery collection for a new e-commerce website.

• Compensation: $850, funded through the Experience Ventures program, administered through Humber’s Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship
• Location: Humber Polytechnic, Lakeshore Campus, Idea Lab
• Eligibility: Current domestic Humber Polytechnic students, who have not used an Experience Ventures voucher this term

About the Project

The collection includes vintage jewellery pieces, primarily brooches featuring intricate details, colourful enamel, and faceted stones. The photographer will be responsible for:

• Capturing four images of each piece: front view, close-up detail, angled view, and back view
• Maintaining consistent lighting, backgrounds, framing, and distance across the collection
• Photographing jewellery against a dark background to highlight its details and craftsmanship
• Editing and delivering high-quality, web-ready images with a consistent visual style

Qualifications

• Experience in product or macro photography, particularly jewellery or other small objects
• Access to a macro or close-focus lens and appropriate lighting equipment
• Ability to work with controlled lighting and dark backgrounds
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in photography and post-production
